Want To Make Stuff?

So I graduated with a degree in Apparel Design, so I know how to sew.  Besides making clothing and dressies and stuff, the world of riding bikes has opened my eyes to more relevant needs and wants that I could probably make to.  For example, everyone wants the lastest and coolest messenger bag. Wanna learn how to make one? Haha. Well, I don't have a pattern for one yet, but I'm working on one.  I do have a couple of things that I have made and have become very useful to me and my daily commutes on my bike.  One is my homemade top tube protector and my homemade U-lock quiver.  Both of these projects are very easy to make and can become personalized to your liking.  Top tube protectors will help your gorgeous NJS frame lookin' brand spankin' new and the U-lock quiver is modeled after Fabric Horse's design.  All you need is a sewing machine.  However, you're probably going to have to find either an industrial sewing machine or a home-sew machine that can handle so heavy duty materials like leather, vinyl, and corduras.  I personally own a JUKI from Japan.  Those machines are awesome and true work-horses.  Japanese is always better. haha.  I will post pictures later of my creations.  Stay tuned.
